Magic Maker’s Live features artists and businesses who create magic at Creative Space Studios Co., who demonstrate creativity in their offers and use of our natural light studio, inspiration to other photographers and small businesses, and an awesome example of creative entrepreneurship.
Today we are highlighting Kaelyn Brazil of K+D Photography. Earlier this week we had a chance to interview Kaelyn live on instagram (you can go watch the Live here).
Kaelyn is such a positive energy and I had so much fun chatting with her about her life and learning more about her photography journey!
Kaelyn, believe it or not, hasn’t been shooting professionally for very long, but you wouldn’t know it looking at her work! (Images below). I find it so impressive how eager she was at the beginning of her journey to dive in and learn all she could, even if she was a little scared at first.
Kaelyn practiced getting into her own groove at the studio that lead to her creating the most fun offer for her clients: FRAMERS. Kaelyn wanted to set up a simple way to capture her clients just as they are. She started with a few and marketed them on instagram and her website, and now she is getting so much interest for them again and again!
Kaelyn’s advice to photographers who are feeling a bit intimidated about shooting in a studio for the first few times, says that “it may seem overwhelming and the first few shoots might not turn out great because you’re learning, but just keep going! Go in there and Practice! Practice! Practice! You will find your groove in the studio.”
Kaelyn talked about how shooting in the studio has opened up so many opportunities to her clients because she knows she can shoot them any time, whereas with outdoor photos are limited. The variety she creates for her clients creates so much value in her business because she gives her clients options for photo locations.
“When you open that door to give your client the option for studio sessions, it only elevates your business.”
